Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is hiring a Roofer’s Labourer / Roofer’s Mate to support our Solar PV installation teams across the UK. You will move materials, assist the Electrician, and help fit racking, cables and solar equipment on slate or tile roofs.

The role requires proven experience on pitched roofs, working at height, and a good understanding of roofing materials and safety. A company vehicle and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofer’s labourer / Roofer’s mate.
• Experience working on slate/tile pitched roofs.
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques & safety practices.
• Experience working at height.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Roofer/Roofers mate to join our ever-growing Solar PV installation team across the UK!

What you'll do

• Work includes but is not limited to; the movement & lifting of materials, running cables/conduit, grinding tiles, waste removal and assisting the Electrician in Solar installation.

What you'll need:

• Proven experience as a Roofers labourer/Roofers mate
• Experience working on slate/tile pitched roofs
• Knowledge of roofing materials, techniques & safety practices
• Experience working at height

• £30,000 basic salary & overtime available (+ London weighting if living within M25)
• Salary uplift upon completion of training & mentoring
• £2,500 annual bonus based on KPIs
