This is a full-time, permanent vacancy that will close in 20 days at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

Wates has an opportunity for a Roofer to join our team within the Responsive Maintenance division. You will be working out of our Brixton office on one of our social housing contracts, delivering reactive maintenance to residents.

Key Accountabilities include:

• Undertake repair and renewal roofing works.
• Communicate effectively with the scheduler, residents, and line manager.
• Work safely and in compliance with health & safety and safeguarding requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical and legal requirements of the role.
• Collaborate with other operatives to complete repairs when needed.
• Complete work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job, via PDA.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving license is essential.
• Passion for roofing and willingness to learn.
• Effective communication skills, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Must undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at offer stage. We do not discriminate based on criminal record.
