Job summary

A well-renowned timber engineering company in Wrexham is looking for an experienced Roof Truss & Joist Designer. In this role, you will provide accurate designs, act as the main contact for customers, and manage your own projects with a variety of work. The ideal candidate has a strong background in designing Roof Trusses and Joists and excellent customer service skills. You will work Monday to Friday with a negotiable salary based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior experience designing Roof Trusses and Joists.
• Self-motivated with good workload management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate designs using ITW's Gang Nail software.
• Act as the main contact for customers, answering technical queries.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure timely delivery.

Roof Truss & Joist Designer
Salary – Negotiable dependant on experience
Monday – Friday / 8:30am – 5pm

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking to recruit a Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join their well-renowned, family-owned timber engineering company. We are looking for the right candidate to join their friendly team of design experts, where you will enjoy the autonomy of managing your own projects, with a high variety of work from day to day.

Performance Objectives
• Reporting to the Design Office Manager, you will be expected to provide accurate and thorough designs on ITW's Gang Nail software.
• You will be the main point of contact with customers – answering technical queries, providing comprehensive advice and giving excellent customer service on every project.
• The role involves liaising with site visits, production and manufacturing teams to ensure a smooth delivery within their 5 Day Delivery timescales.
• You will be expected to prioritise and manage your own workload as well as reviewing your own work for accuracy, efficiency, and quality.

Person Specification
• Prior experience designing Roof Trusses and Joists
• Self-motivated and good prioritisation, time, and workload management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience using ITW's Gang Nail software
• Commitment to team working
• Confidence and approachability
