Job Description - Roof Coatings Technical Sales Manager

Location: Central England

We are looking for talented, experienced individuals based in the Midlands, Northern Powerhouse, or surrounding areas to support and enhance sales and service with contractors supplying Roof and Cladding coatings systems.

This role suits someone who enjoys engaging with contractors, specifiers, and building owners. The right candidate will support contractors on live projects, nurture accounts proactively, and demonstrate system knowledge, dependability, and a service-oriented approach.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding eco-systems and technological opportunities related to coatings.

This position offers the chance to join an experienced team dedicated to expanding contractor relationships, exceeding customer expectations, and improving service delivery.

Previous Experience: Experience in coatings manufacturing, application, or sales with technical responsibility, especially in industrial building refurbishments, is preferred but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits to assess project needs
  • Provide technical solutions and problem-solving support
  • Train contractors onsite
  • Inspect work quality for warranty issuance
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Support sales of systems and related products
  • Prepare reports on site visits, specifications, and project progress using cloud-based systems
  • Update contractor accounts in the database

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience with roof/building coatings is advantageous but not essential
  • Enjoys partnership building and customer support
  • Motivated to develop and deepen customer relationships
  • Self-managed, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with digital tools and cloud applications
  • Interested in eco-friendly systems and proactive in suggesting improvements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in the industrial/construction coatings industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven relationship-building skills with contractors and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of construction standards and regulations

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
