Job summary

thebigword Inc. is seeking qualified Romanian interpreters for remote telephone interpreting assignments within the United Kingdom. You will work from home, choose hours that suit you, and support clients across essential services. A strong interpreting background and DBS certificate are required.

Peak call times are 08:00 to 17:00 GMT, Monday to Friday. Candidates must have right to work in the UK and provide necessary identity, address, DBS, and qualification documents to join.

Qualifications

• Qualified Romanian interpreters with proven interpreting hours.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom; UK onboarding only.
• DBS certificate provided and kept up to date.
• Provide identity/address documents as part of onboarding.
• Evidence of interpreting hours and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote telephone interpreting services to clients.
• Maintain a steady flow of assignments and meet quality standards.

Romanian Telephone Interpreting Assignments

thebigword has been providing high-quality telephone interpreting services for over 20 years, handling more than 24 million minutes of calls annually. We offer flexible remote telephone interpreting assignments throughout the day, including evenings and weekends, with no travel or pre-booking required.

Our clients include the Justice Sector, Healthcare, Emergency Services, Local Authorities, Immigration Services, and Police Forces.

We are currently seeking qualified Romanian interpreters to provide telephone interpreting services, with a strong and consistent flow of assignments.

Please note: We are onboarding interpreters within the UK only. Applicants must already have the right to work in the United Kingdom. We are currently not onboarding candidates outside the UK.

To be considered, you must provide:

1. Proof of Identity (Passport)
2. Proof of Address (Bank Statement, Utility Bill issued within the last 6 months, or Driving Licence)
3. Valid DBS Certificate
4. Relevant Qualification (Community Interpreting Certificate, DPSI, DPI, or a language-related degree)
5. Proof of Right to Work in the UK
6. Evidence of Interpreting Experience (Proof of Hours)
