An established engineering firm is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Milton Keynes. In this permanent role, you will perform on-site repairs, maintenance, and upgrades for technical systems in the rolling stock industry. Qualifications

Salary: 35,000 rising to 37,000

Hours: 38 per week (OT is available)

Role Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will deliver on-site repair, maintenance, and upgrade services for a range of technical systems while ensuring exceptional customer support. You will diagnose and resolve faults, complete precise documentation, and provide training to customers to maximise equipment reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver on-site repair, maintenance, overhaul, and upgrade services for core systems.
Diagnose and resolve technical faults, recommending and implementing corrective measures.
Conduct customer training and provide clear operational guidance on equipment and processes.
Complete mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assembly work to required specifications.
Prepare accurate service documentation and reports, including work logs and checklists.
Process replacement and repair orders in coordination with internal teams.
Support the execution of service contracts and maintain up-to-date customer documentation.
Liaise effectively with engineering and internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and support.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and communicate training needs.

Requirements:
Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
Mechanical qualifications beneficial.
Be flexible to travel, work extended hours, and stay away from home when required.
Previous work experience with rolling stock vehicles (doors experience is a bonus)
Strong communication skills
Driver's License Required
