Job summary

ITS (Sussex) Ltd is seeking an experienced Roller Operator in Horsham, West Sussex. The role is temporary with immediate start and requires CPCS/NPORS and a valid driving licence. Own transport is beneficial.

Responsibilities include operating road roller safely, compacting various materials to specification, conducting pre-start checks, and following RAMS and site PPE rules. The position offers ongoing work with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• CPCS/NPORS certification is required.
• A valid UK driving licence is required.
• Own PPE is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Operate a road roller/compactor safely and efficiently on construction sites.
• Compact soil, tarmac, stone and other materials to the required specification.
• Carry out daily pre-start checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Follow site health and safety procedures, RAMS, traffic management and PPE requirements.
• Work closely with groundworkers and site management to ensure areas are compacted correctly and on schedule.
