Hours: 40 hours per week (11.00am – 7.00pm)

Location: Kensington, London

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Head Housekeeper/Cook for a private household in Kensington, London.

This is a full-time permanent role, where you will be contracted to work 11.00am to 7.00pm, Monday to Friday.

The Head Housekeeper/Cook will be responsible for general housekeeping duties to maintain the property to a high standard, as well as the preparation and cooking of dinner daily for the family. The Housekeeper will have the support of a part-time cleaner who focuses on the deeper cleaning.

The family are looking for a candidate who has excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills, and who is able to work on their own initiative and prioritise tasks. You will have 5+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper/Cook within a HNW private household.

You will be working for a charming professional family who have school age children.

Duties and responsibilities;

Making beds and changing linen
Keeping the property stocked with all necessary items
Grocery shopping (online orders and local)
Monitoring and maintaining stock of household supplies
Cleaning fridge every week and getting rid of any expired foodPreparing and cooking family meals
Laundry and ironing
Organising wardrobes
Organising items for dry cleaning
Gift shopping
Seasonal organisation of children’s wardrobes
Liaising with contractors, window cleaners etc
Occasional childcare, babysitting/proxy parenting when required
Deep cleaning and overseeing household while the family travel

To be considered for this role you must;

Be eligible to work within the UK
Hold a valid passport
Have excellent contactable references
Have 5+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper/Cook within a private household
Possess (/be willing to get) an up to date DBS certificate
