A leading aerospace company in Greater London is seeking a Test Systems Engineer to facilitate the testing processes for rocket engines and propulsion systems. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, along with hands-on mechanical fitting skills and a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities include reviewing test plans, designing verification matrices, and setting up test equipment. This role requires industrial experience in rocket engineering and offers a unique opportunity to engage with space-related projects.

Qualifications

  • Industrial experience ideally in designing and developing rocket engines and fluidic control systems.
  • Spacecraft chemical propulsion experience would be useful but is not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret higher-level Test Plan requirements and propulsion system specifications.
  • Design Verification Compliance Matrix against the test plan.
  • Work on rocket engines and thrusters, fluidic control systems, and space standard engineering.
  • Perform test equipment setup including key component identification.
  • Procure, fabricate, and assemble Test Site Propellant and Pressurant feed systems.

Job description

Test Systems Engineer required to help bring together test requirements, design, equipment, setup, and execution for rocket engines, specifically propellant control systems and pressurant feed systems.

Requirements

  • Procure, fabricate, and assemble Test Site Propellant and Pressurant feed systems, GSE, and EGSE.
  • Generate Test Procedures.
  • Deliver test result data to design engineering teams.
