An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Resource Operations Centre Manager to join South Western Ambulance Trust based in Exeter. We are looking for an experienced manager to join our specialist team and support the continued growth of resource operations across the South West.

In this role you would be responsible for managing a team of Lead Schedulers alongside two Supervisors to deliver high quality resourcing services, advice and support that touch all areas of the Trust.

Working in partnership with A&E County Management teams, Emergency Operation Centre Managers, Learning & Development Managers, Fleet Services, and other Trust Departments to ensure best practice in resourcing and business continuity whilst proactively improving resourcing levels via pre-determined processes and management of the Resource Operations Centre.

Main duties of the job

The ROC Manager is responsible for delivering high quality resourcing services in line with the areas of ROC responsibility supporting Trust Corporate Strategy and Objective and assisting in delivering National and local Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) through the effective management of SWAST resources while strictly adhering to Trust Policy, SOP and relevant legislation and through effective and efficient management of ROC staff and resources.

The Post Holder will report directly to the Deputy Head of Operational Scheduling and will hold line management responsibility for the Resource Operations Centers Lead Schedulers and Supervisors, providing expert knowledge, skills and leadership in the specialty area of resource management.

The post holder will work in partnership with A&E County Management teams, Clinical Hub Managers, Learning & Development Managers, Fleet services and other Trust Departments to ensure best practice in resourcing and business continuity.

The post holder will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of the Global Rostering System (GRS in conjunction with the GRS System Lead) for the management of resources and fleet, and the co-ordination of personnel records, rota patterns and abstractions, including the handling of sensitive and confidential information.
