Job summary

The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Surgical Care Practitioner – Robotics (Bank). The role is an on-call bank position to supplement staffing during peaks and cover leaves. Salary is up to £45.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Applicants should be registered with NMC or HCPC with a surgical practitioner qualification, have theatre experience, and be skilled in robotic surgery across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registration with post-registration qualification as a Surgical Care Practitioner.
• Proven theatre experience and competence in assisting with procedures.
• Experience in robotic surgery across urology, gynaecology, general, colorectal or thoracic.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical interventions under supervision of the operating surgeon within your scope.
• Carry out tissue retraction, suctioning, irrigation and wound closure where competent.
• Make clinical decisions in line with national guidance and delegation agreements.
• Complete operative records accurately for the surgeon.
• Assist in collecting postoperative outcome data and audits.
• Contribute to quality governance with accurate clinical records.
