Job summary

CircuitHub is hiring a senior robotics software engineer to architect the robot operating system and build the core abstractions for modeling robots, tools and jobs. You will design how work is planned, dispatched and how state is shared across a production-grade robotics platform.

Qualifications

• Architect a large-scale robot code base that runs on real hardware in production.
• Strong software engineering in Python and Rust (or C++), with emphasis on types, testing, concurrency and clean architecture.
• Experience with motion/path planning, multi-robot coordination, controls, perception, scheduling.
• Hands-on experience applying large models (LLMs or vision-language models) to robotics.
• You use coding agents to move faster and take ownership of outputs.

Responsibilities

• Architect the robot operating system: model robots, cameras, tools and jobs; define how work is planned, dispatched and how state is shared.
• Integrate new vision algorithms into the control loop to locate and center parts and verify placements for production.
• Program robots to use large models inside the robots: interpreting datasheets, evaluating picks, diagnosing faults and recovery.
• Coordinate a fleet of movers, gantries, printers and ovens without collisions or deadlocks.
• Design clean interfaces between high-level planning and real-time controllers.
• Make the system observable with simulation, tracing and replay to prove changes before deployment.
