Job summary

Cortech Talent Solutions Ltd is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer for our Reading team. The role focuses on developing, integrating and testing software across autonomous robotic platforms, including embedded devices, central computers and operator interfaces.

You will start by learning the architecture and technologies used, then take increasing ownership for features, faults and validation on physical platforms. The position is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in robotics software engineering.
• Experience with ROS 2 and modern C++ development.

Responsibilities

• Develop robotics software using modern C++ and Python.
• Design and implement ROS 2 nodes, hardware drivers and software interfaces.
• Deliver features from an agreed technical approach through implementation, integration and testing.
• Integrate cameras, sensors, actuators and embedded devices into robotic systems.
• Diagnose faults involving software, networks, sensors, hardware and physical behaviour.
