Job summary

Pertemps Engineering Division is advertising a Robotics Engineer role in Gloucestershire with international travel to Europe and North America. You will design and program robotic systems, integrate robotics within larger control systems, and lead projects from concept to customer handover.

The position involves on-site installation, commissioning, and ongoing support, plus training colleagues and contributing to project management. Travel and remote site work are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial robotics.
• Experience with Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki or Nachi.
• Background in manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet, Profinet).
• PLC, HMI, SCADA or network programming.
• Experience working internationally.

Shift Type: Monday 0 Thursday 08:00 17:00, Friday 08:00 14:00 (flexibility required for travel)

The Opportunity

A specialist engineering business at the forefront of bespoke automation and robotics solutions is seeking an experienced Robotics Engineer to join its growing team. This is a highly varied role offering the opportunity to work on complex turnkey automation projects across Europe and North America.

Working closely with design and controls engineers, you will play a key role in delivering innovative robotic solutions from concept through to commissioning, both in-house and on customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and program robotic systems for bespoke automation solutions
• Integrate robotics within wider automation and control systems
• Take ownership of projects from concept through to customer handover
• Carry out on-site installation, commissioning, and fault finding
• Support and service existing systems
• Contribute to project management activities
• Train and mentor colleagues in robotics best practices

Technical Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial robotics
• Experience with one or more: Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, Nachi
• Background in manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems
• Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet, Profinet)
• PLC, HMI, SCADA or network programming
• Experience working internationally

Additional Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (max 3 penalty points)
