Job summary

Workforce Staffing is recruiting a TIG/MIG Welder for a manufacturing site in Redditch. The role offers solid hourly pay during probation (£17.50) rising to £18.00 per hour plus a weekly shift allowance, with a 3-month probation.

You will work with TIG, MIG and ARC welding on forging dies and tooling, alongside a robotic welding arm. Experience in manufacturing or engineering welding is welcome, with training available for robotic welding.

Qualifications

• Candidates with welding experience in manufacturing or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating a robotic welding arm
• Applying multiple layers of weld to forging dies
• Removing slag and debris from welded surfaces
• Preparing and cleaning surfaces between weld layers
• Completing the welding process until the impression within the block is fully restored
• Repairing different types of tooling
• Performing TIG, MIG, and ARC welding where required
• Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
• Maintaining safe and accurate work practices within a manufacturing environment
