Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Wigston is seeking a dependable Robot Welder for a night shift role. The successful candidate will operate robotic welding systems, ensure quality checks, and maintain production standards. Previous robot welding experience is preferred, but strong CNC skills will also be considered. This permanent position requires reliability and the ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule.

Robot Welder

Pay Rate

£13.21 - £15.00 per hour depending on experience

Shift

Monday‑Thursday, 6pm‑6am (48 hours per week)*

*Training will be undertaken on a day shift for the first 2‑4 weeks.

A long standing manufacturer of precision machined and sheet metal components for a range of industries including Automotive, Yellow Goods, Defence and Medical.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dependable Robot Welder to join their night shift team. This is a permanent role for someone who values steady work, clear expectations, and the satisfaction of producing parts that are made to last.

The ideal candidate will already have experience with robotic welding systems. However, if you come from a CNC machine operating background and are confident working with automated equipment, your skills will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating and monitoring robotic welding cells
  • Loading parts, running programs, and carrying out quality checks
  • Making basic adjustments to keep production running smoothly
  • Working to set standards and following weld specifications
  • Keeping the work area tidy and following safe working practices
About You
  • Previous robot welding experience is preferred
  • CNC operating experience will be considered for the right person
  • A practical, level‑headed attitude and pride in doing things properly
  • Comfortable working 12‑hour night shifts
  • Reliable, steady, and able to follow established processes
