Job summary

The Flour Pot Bakery is seeking a Roastery Production and Barista to support daily roastery operations and assist with wholesale order fulfilment. This hands-on role demands attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a passion for specialty coffee.

You will deliver warm service, prepare espresso drinks, handle stock and hygiene, and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth service and timely deliveries to wholesale clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a warm, welcoming, and engaging customer experience.
• Provide fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service at all times.
• Engage with customers to promote products and enhance their visit.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee-based drinks.
• Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment with precision.
• Assist customers with menu choices and offer recommendations on our counter food offering.
• Keep front-of-house and service areas clean, tidy, and well presented.
• Follow daily opening and closing procedures as required.
• Assist with stock rotation and replenishment of front-of-house items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all front-of-house areas, including counters, tables, and equipment.
• Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Carry out weekly maintenance checks/processes on all roastery equipment.
• Represent The Milk Shed's values with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the roastery space.
• Label and batch coffee for retail and orders - for both internal and wholesale fulfilment.
• Green stock organisation.
• Assist with order preparation, packing, and logistics.
• Provide ongoing support and training to external wholesale clients.
• Maintain an excellent rapport with key wholesale accounts.
• Coordinate and fulfil deliveries to wholesale clients Communicate with the team to ensure timely order dispatch.
• Maintain accurate records of outgoing wholesale orders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
