Job description

Birmingham, AL | Full-time | Transportation | 1 Position Available

Sain Associates is looking for a civil engineer to join our Infrastructure team, where you will partner with a project manager to design Transportation projects, including roadways, sidewalks, and intersection improvements. This position is ideal if you would like to be a technical expert on the project.

On a typical day, you might be performing quantity take-offs and designing roadway drainage systems, as well as creating the horizontal and vertical geometry for a road design. You will also be assisting with the design of the signage, pavement markings, and erosion control measures necessary for project construction.

Must Haves

• Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• 4+ years of engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
• Enjoy learning different design software
• Prefer someone with experience with CAD software like OpenRoads
• Ability to travel as needed
