Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician in Kirkby Underwood, Lincolnshire. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs and diagnostics, delivering emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and finishing each day from home with an RAC van, fuel card, and full tools kit.

You will typically work about 40 hours per week with optional overtime, and earn a market-competitive base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £60,000 plus generous benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, with a full UK driving licence (<6 points).
• Role requires roadside diagnostic and repair capability across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support.
• Work across the UK providing quick, confident solutions for RAC members.
• Utilise provided tools and diagnostic kit to resolve faults on the roadside.

Join the team that keeps the UK moving. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience, you'll receive:

• A market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000, with top-performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
• Start and finish on your driveway.
• Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

What you'll need:

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it's a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault-finding, you'll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most.

You'll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside - combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service. We'll set you up for success from day one, with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
