Job description

Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: You will have a geographical area based from where you live, so this isn’t crucial. This opportunity covers the Harlow area.

Salary: £48,720 basic plus overtime (Paid at time and a half). Overall earnings can be as high as £55,000 depending on how much overtime you undertake.

Hours: This is a 40-hour workweek. The earliest start time is 6am, and the latest finish is 2am, with a 12-hour mandatory rest period between shifts. Rota is posted 14 days in advance and can be subject to change up to 72 hours prior.

Role responsibilities:

• Attending breakdowns to diagnose issues, working closely with the breakdown team. The goal is to repair vehicles on-site or return them to the workshop.
• Identifying problems and advising customers accordingly.
• Vehicle servicing and general maintenance, including electrical and diagnostic work.
• Delivering exceptional customer service as the face of the business.

Requirements:

• Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair preferred; Level 2 considered with relevant qualifications such as City and Guilds, IMI, or NVQ. Proof of qualifications required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a workshop or mobile role.
• Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points or bans.
• Technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
