Job Description

Westbourne operates a fleet of fully equipped service vehicles across its working area. You will be provided with a roadside vehicle fitted with the latest diagnostic equipment to identify faults on various cars and light commercial vehicles.

Service vans are equipped with towing gear capable of recovering most vehicles to a repair workshop or the customer's destination.

The primary goal of a Westbourne Technician is to safely repair as many vehicles as possible at the roadside, aiming to repair more cars than competitors.

Breakdowns can occur at customers' homes or any location within the UK. The technician's first priority is always the safety and care of the customer and vehicle.

Technicians are expected to diagnose and repair the majority of faults across all makes and models at roadside. Depending on workload, they may also perform basic repairs in workshops.

Additionally, equipped roadside technicians may recover non-repairable vehicles locally (within 60 miles), with long-distance recoveries handled by dedicated recovery drivers.

The basic salary is £34,000 per year, with bonus opportunities potentially adding up to £8,000 annually.

Shift Hours
4 days on duty followed by 2 days off, with consistent shift start times for each 4-day period, changing after each set of days off.
