Job summary

The AA is hiring a Roadside Rescue Mechanic in the United Kingdom. You will patrol roads, starting and finishing at your driveway, earning guaranteed year 1 earnings of £34,936 with OTE up to £45,000 based on performance.

You’ll work a 40-hour week across flexible shifts, and be the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation. Responsibilities include independent work across varied locations, using technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience,

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• Full category B driving licence, with 6 points or less
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home
• Working independently across varied locations and conditions, while remaining a valued part of a supportive team
• Using your technical knowledge and clear communication to help ensure a positive customer experience
• Solving problems on the spot, using your technical skills and calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations
