The RAC is the UK's leading breakdown service provider, a people-powered business of 4,000 'orange heroes' delivering best-in-class motoring services. Due to our unprecedented growth, we now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled, field-based Roadside Mechanic to join our Roadside Patrol team.

As a Roadside Mechanic, you will need:

  • A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
  • A customer-focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to work at short notice
  • Willingness to travel and stay overnight if necessary

This role involves working the equivalent of 40 hours per week without a fixed roster. You will receive your roster seven days in advance, with core hours communicated three days prior. Working hours are between 0600 and 0200, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays.
