Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is looking for a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You will perform expert mechanical roadside repairs, run vehicle diagnostics, and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.

Start and finish your day from home, with a dedicated RAC van and full support kit. The role requires a Level 2 qualification or equivalent, 2+ years’ experience, and a valid UK driving licence with few points.

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician

Join the team that keeps the UK moving. As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience, you'll receive:

• A market-competitive base salary of £36,400 and a realistic OTE of £60,000, with top-performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
• Start and finish on your driveway.
• Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

What you’ll need

• Either: NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Role Responsibilities

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll deliver:

We’ll set you up for success from day one, with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit all provided.
