  • We provide the van, full uniform, boots, and the best available equipment—bring your best self!
  • Free breakdown cover from day one
  • 23 days holidays (increases with service) plus bank holidays

  • Access to a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme and a 24/7 remote GP service for you and your family
This is the job

Your ability to connect with people sets you apart. You understand not just what your customer wants, but how they feel. You ask the right questions, explain your fixes clearly, and ensure your customer can get on with their day. You’re ready for anything—there for them, anytime, anywhere, in any weather.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be:

  • A communicator: Sharing your knowledge in a way that customers understand and feel confident their needs are being met.
  • A dedicated learner: Taking every opportunity to learn from others, whether on the road or in structured training.
  • A self-starter: Working independently and collaboratively, driving to various locations in all weather conditions.
  • A fixer/problem solver: Using your technical expertise to solve issues—fixing vehicles roadside or recovering them to a garage—helping customers get back on their way.
What do I need?

You’ll need:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience.
  • A full category B driving licence with 6 points or less. If you don’t have category BE (towing), we will fund it for you.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

We offer fully supported development programmes to help you progress your career, whether growing in your current role or taking on new responsibilities. At the AA, we value diversity and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves, feel empowered, and belong.

You can apply today with or without a CV. If applying without a CV, please list your most recent experience and qualifications on the application form. Your application will be reviewed, and we will arrange an online interview assessment. Pre-employment checks, including references, credit, and criminal record checks, will be completed as part of onboarding.
