Job Description:

Your new company

Our client is a leading council based in the Edinburgh region. With a significant amount of residential development ongoing in their region, they are seeking to add a Roads and Utility officer to their infrastructure and roads team.

Your new role

As Roads Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring the progress of infrastructure works on a range of residential developments across the council region. You will be on-site visiting projects regularly, ensuring the developer is complying with design and regulatory components attached to their residential development. You will be communicating with a range of stakeholders, from the residential developer site managers to utility providers and architects. This is a mobile role where you get a significant degree of independence and flexibility as you fulfill the duties of your role.

What you'll need to succeed

Our client is seeking an experienced civil professional with deep expertise in the construction and development of infrastructure across the community. Perhaps you will be an experienced site agent / project manager seeking a change of direction later in your career, and you are looking to move away from the day-to-day grind of running a project. You will have relevant qualifications in this space.

What you'll get in return

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced civil professional seeking a change in their career. You will get significant amounts of independence and autonomy and will offer you the prospect of a better work-life balance as you enter a different phase in your career. A competitive rate of pay will be paid to the successful candidate and this is an ongoing term freelance opportunity.
