Are you an experienced forensic road traffic collision investigator within the consulting industry? If yes, read on.

My client is one of the world's leading forensic consultancies, privately owned, with multiple offices across the UK.

They are currently seeking a skilled Road Traffic Collision Investigator to join their growing forensic RTC team.

The Role - Forensic Road Traffic Collision Investigator:
  • Examine scenes and vehicles involved, ensuring all evidence is recorded, often requiring sophisticated mapping and photographic equipment.
  • Ensure meticulous collection, preservation, and interpretation of evidence, including vehicle defects and telematic data, to accurately report on collision circumstances.
  • Produce reconstruction reports explaining how events unfolded.
  • Identify the need for additional resources or specialist knowledge to aid forensic examination or reconstruction.
  • Present findings in court as a qualified expert.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
  • Clear, confident communication, with the ability to explain technical information backed by comprehensive, unbiased reports.
  • Effective internal and external communication skills via face-to-face meetings, phone/video calls, and emails.
Ideally, you will:
  • Hold a good honours degree in engineering or a science-based field.
  • Be progressing towards Chartered status in a relevant discipline.
  • Possess a higher degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) — desirable.
  • Be capable of completing a day's site work, which may include physical exertion.
  • Demonstrate clear communication skills for conveying technical concepts to individuals with lesser expertise, verbally and in writing.
  • Be willing to accommodate unpredictable work hours.
  • Have several years of postgraduate experience.
