Your Role...

  • Work directly with clients to achieve sustainable transport goals, managing traffic engineering and road safety schemes, analyzing collision data, speed management, providing safety reviews of highway design proposals, and conducting Road Safety Audits.
  • Support the team as a Road Safety / Engineering designer on various projects and help grow our client relationships.
  • Prepare and review reports, drawings, schedules, and other documents following local procedures and guidance.
  • Manage project financials and ensure deliverables meet quality standards through technical review.
  • Collaborate with the Liveable Places team, transport colleagues, and the wider WSP network to meet objectives.

About the Team

The Liveable Places team works with national and local authorities across the UK, delivering schemes from concept to completion, including public realm, traffic engineering, transport planning, and more. With over 200 staff nationwide, the team is enthusiastic and experienced, offering excellent career development opportunities.

What We Seek

  • Knowledge of the Safe System approach.
  • Experience managing colleagues, projects, budgets, and reporting.
  • Expertise in road safety standards, highway design, collision data analysis, and Road Safety Audits.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and stakeholder relationship skills.
