If you are enthusiastic about road safety for children, you may be the person we are looking for to help achieve Darlington's casualty reduction targets. The role of this post is to be responsible for developing and delivering Bikeability Training within the Borough. You will be responsible for managing a team of Cycle Instructors who deliver training to school pupils across the Borough.
Applicants should have knowledge of the Highway Code in relation to cyclists and be able to supervise and lead a team of casual staff. While it's not essential that you hold a nationally recognised cycle training qualification, you will be expected to obtain this within a reasonable period of time once appointed. The role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at the enhanced children level. The post is term-time only and 25 hours per week.
