Job summary

York Limited is seeking enthusiastic Bikeability instructors to deliver training in and around York. You should be a regular cyclist capable of moving between schools and delivering 25 miles per day of instruction.

Willingness to train for Bikeability qualifications is supported, with IT literacy including Excel and Word. The role may involve classroom and assembly work, with DBS checks as required.

Job description

Work with York Limited are looking to recruit individuals to join a client’s Road Safety Bikeability/Instructor Training Team.

Whilst qualified instructors would be great the client is willing to offer a free and paid for qualification for keen cyclists who share a passion for road safety.

The rate of pay is £16.33 per hour. Flexible work all year round in and around York.

In addition, to delivering Bikeability at primary and secondary schools, you will also deliver Pedestrian training for school years 3 and 4, and Balance Bike training for pre-school and reception children.

You should be a regular cyclist, able to cycle up to 25 miles a day to deliver training at schools across the City throughout the year and enjoy working with all age groups. As well as delivering practical training in schools, you may be required to engage with schools in classrooms and assemblies.

You should be confident using IT programmes, particularly Excel, Word, Emails and using a Smart mobile phone.
