Our client, a global freight and logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operations Clerk to join their team at a senior level. The role involves overseeing the team and supporting the manager.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing the freight operations team (road department)
2. Processing EDI transfers, monitoring PODs
3. Liaising with hauliers and booking road freight transport
4. Ensuring shipments are collected on time, processing clearances, and preparing documents for customs clearance
5. Data entry of shipments
6. Providing customer service

Requirements: Experience in road freight customer service or operations is essential. Candidates should have clear written and verbal English skills, work well under deadlines, and have a flexible approach. Knowledge of UK and European road freight and groupage is required.
