Road Freight Coordinator – Bristol – Up to £28,000

A logistics company is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Road Freight Coordinator to ensure the accurate and timely movement of domestic freight. This role involves coordinating shipments, managing data entry, and delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining compliance with internal and external regulations.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:30

Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE

Responsibilities
  • Manage timely and accurate freight movement, data entry, and billing
  • Use workflow tools to handle daily operations
  • Track and trace shipments; ensure timely deliveries and clearances
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers to meet service standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and customer SOPs
  • Meet KPIs and contribute to operational improvements
  • Communicate effectively across teams and escalate issues when necessary
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and cultural values
Qualifications
  • 1 0-12 months of experience in logistics or freight coordination
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Fluent in English
  • Positive, proactive, and customer-focused attitude
  • Knowledge of logistics industry and basic regulatory compliance
