Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Burn Trauma/Vascular ICU.
Night shift

$70 per hour

Department/Position Overview:

  • 16-bed unit
  • Norfolk General Hospital is the only Sentara facility performing Kidney/Pancreas Transplants and complex vascular surgeries.
  • Immediate surgical recovery of Kidney and Pancreas Transplants.
  • Management of general surgical patients requiring ICU care, including mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and hemodialysis.
  • Vascular procedures include lower extremity revascularization, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Mesenteric Artery Repair, EVAR, TEVAR, lower extremity bypass, carotid endarterectomy, carotid stent placement, EKOS for DVTs, and medical management of AAA and dissections.
  • Patient population: Adult medical and surgical patients requiring intensive nursing care.
  • Average length of stay: 2-3 days; complex patients may stay >30 days.

Education:

Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in Nursing required.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ACLS

Experience:

Minimum of two years of current acute care hospital RN experience required.
