We Are Hiring

• Sign On Bonus: $7,500
• Department: Behavioral Health - Geriatric Psych
• Schedule: Weekends only (Saturday & Sunday), night shift (7p-7a)
• Hospital: UAB St Vincent's East
• Location: Trussville, AL

What You Will Do

Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients following facility policies and procedures.

• Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments according to nursing standards. Develop a nursing care plan aligned with the treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team meetings to plan and adjust goals, objectives, and interventions tailored to patient needs.
• Implement nursing care plans for assigned patients and co-lead group therapy sessions.
• Assess patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans as necessary, collaborating with the team to update goals and interventions based on patient progress.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing prior to hire or transfer.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited nursing school or required professional licensure at the time of hire.
