Position Summary

This role involves providing direct clinical patient care, assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients per shift and at the unit level. The role supervises staff to whom appropriate care is delegated and supports the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, staff competency, and resource management.

Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to serve as a role model and advocate for nursing.

Qualifications

Education:
Required: Graduation from a state-approved or accredited nursing school.
Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree in nursing.

Certifications:
Required: Current license, certification, or registration to practice nursing as mandated by law, regulation, or policy; CPR certification.
