Job Title: Band 6 RMN - Youth Justice System

Location: South East London

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £30-34 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Join our team as a Band 6 RMN in the Youth Justice System and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people involved in the criminal justice system. In this role, you will:
  2. Provide specialist mental health assessments and interventions for young people in the youth justice system.
  3. Work closely with multi-agency teams, including social workers, probation officers, and education providers, to deliver holistic care.
  4. Develop and implement individual care plans that address mental health needs and risk factors.
  5. Offer crisis intervention, risk assessment, and therapeutic support to young people with complex mental health conditions.
  6. Deliver training and consultation to professionals within the youth justice system to enhance mental health awareness and support strategies.
  7. Advocate for young people, ensuring they receive the right care and support within both health and justice services.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  1. A current and valid registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC).
  2. Proven experience working as an RMN, preferably within a youth justice or forensic setting.
  3. Strong knowledge of risk assessment, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. A valid full UK driver's license (preferred but not essential).

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role offers a flexible working position, Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM. The contract is for 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
