Job Description:

The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Programme Manager, EU RME, will provide support to the Europe Reliability & Maintenance Engineering pillars, including EUCF, EUAMZL, EUATS, and EUGSF. This role partners with SMEs from the EU and NA Mechatronics and MSP team to ensure safety in automation technology design and maintenance, minimizing risks for teams.

The individual will also assist the WHS RME Manager in improving network WHS standards, procedures, and training, and will be involved in digitalizing RME processes to enhance safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with RME, Mechatronics, Amazon Robotics, and WHS stakeholders.
• Ensure automation design standards prioritize safety during development.
• Assess risks and implement reduction measures, communicate policies, and track completion.
• Review KPIs and incidents for WHS alerts and actions.
• Collaborate with teams on equipment-related incidents and design retrofits.
• Support leadership in technician engagement and safety programs.

A day in the life:

Focus on mitigating high-risk safety hazards, analyzing incidents, reviewing KPIs, and conducting root cause investigations to improve safety culture.

About the team:

The RME WHS team is part of High-Risk Operations, focusing on managing safety risks associated with machinery, equipment, and contractors, promoting a proactive safety culture.

Basic qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering, Health & Safety, or related fields.
• Knowledge of Machine Design Standards and Conveyance Standards.
• Experience in Safety, RME, Engineering, Quality, or Operations.
• Experience with safety programs like Fall Hazard Control, LOTO, Conveyors, Confined Spaces, etc.
• Program implementation and management experience.
• Data-driven improvement skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree.
• Certifications like ASP, CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or CHMM.
• Knowledge of ISO 45000 standards.
• Experience with machine safety and risk assessment.
• Experience deploying automated reporting systems.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
