An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join RM Medicines as a Pharmacy Assistant who is passionate about improving the lives of patients with cancer.
RM Medicines is a wholly owned subsidiary, created by The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, to provide outpatient pharmacy services focused on ensuring the efficient and safe supply of medicines to patients.
Individuals recruited to the RM Medicines team will be supported to provide expert care to oncology patients and will benefit from training and learning experiences working closely with an institute providing outstanding, leading-edge treatment to cancer patients.
This post would suit a candidate with community pharmacy experience wishing to transition into the hospital environment, for which appropriate training will be provided.

RM Medicines was established by the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust as a separate entity to provide outpatient pharmacy services focused on the safe and efficient supply of medicines.
The Royal Marsden is a specialist cancer hospital, ranked among the top five cancer centers worldwide for research impact, in partnership with the Institute of Cancer Research. It is renowned for groundbreaking research, innovative cancer treatments, and excellence in diagnosis and education.
Recruits will receive a bespoke induction, including a BOPA Cancer introductory course, to provide expert care to oncology patients in the outpatient setting.
If interested in career development, opportunities include internal and external courses, with qualified assistants potentially enrolling in the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Training Programme after successful probation.

Key responsibilities include liaising with pharmacy team members, ward staff, and patients to resolve supply issues, maintaining safety standards, following SOPs, managing prescription documentation, controlling stock, evaluating returned medicines for re-use, participating in educational programs, and working flexibly to meet service needs.
