Role Overview

As a Risk Specialist, you'll play a crucial role within the Banking and Markets business, reporting to the Capital Markets Head of Risk and Change Management. Your responsibilities include identifying, measuring, and escalating key risks, working closely with stakeholders to develop frameworks and standards that mitigate risks and ensure operational success.

• Standard hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional out-of-hours work

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly forums on risks and controls
• Identify high-risk areas and communicate findings to senior stakeholders
• Support development of risk frameworks and documentation
• Lead reviews of Capital Markets product changes
• Advise on risk issues and facilitate open dialogue with partners
• Act as liaison between business units and risk/compliance functions
• Represent Risk on committees and working groups

Skills and Experience

• Experience in financial services, especially operational risk, controls, or audit
• Strong understanding of audit, risk, and operational management
• Knowledge of Capital Markets or similar areas
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Problem-solving enthusiasm
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Leadership skills for managing activities across units
