Bloomberg Indices seeks a highly motivated Risk Specialist to support its regulated index business. BISL is in a growth stage, making this an exciting time to join and help elevate the index business.

As a Risk Specialist, you will operate parts of BISL's risk framework and collaborate across BISL and Bloomberg to support and improve risk management programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understand business objectives and existing processes in a fast-paced environment.
2. Support the Chief Risk Manager in operating and enhancing BISL's risk framework to identify, assess, measure, respond to, and report risks.
3. Develop risk-based control testing plans with Engineers, Index Product, and Index Production teams; perform periodic testing.
4. Engage stakeholders to develop risk metrics for effective monitoring.
5. Prepare management reports on risks for governance bodies, including the Board.
6. Conduct periodic risk assessments of business processes.
7. Map processes, identify dependencies, risks, controls, and issues, and prioritize them based on impact and probability.
8. Manage risk information within the firm's GRC tool.
9. Assist in creating Risk Committee materials and meeting minutes.
10. Review and draft BISL policies and procedures.
11. Support risk management training initiatives.
12. Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management teams to align BISL's risk framework with industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Risk Management, Index Operations, Index Product, or Index Compliance.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
• Basic understanding of IT concepts and operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts analytically.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and effective under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Risk Management Systems.
• Project Management experience.
• Risk assurance activities experience.
• Ability to visualize Management Information (MI).
