Job summary

The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is seeking a proactive Risk Officer to support the delivery and continuous improvement of our risk management framework, helping ensure risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed.

You will maintain risk registers, monitor risks and mitigations, prepare risk reports for senior leaders and governance committees, coordinate internal audit activity and promote a positive risk culture across HCPC.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting risk management, assurance, audit or compliance activities.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience producing clear reports and presenting information to different audiences.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and governance frameworks.

Purpose and Main Duties

As Risk Officer, you will support the delivery and continuous improvement of the organisation's risk management framework, helping to ensure risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a proactive and organised individual with an interest in risk management, governance and assurance. You will have:
