Salary

(UK): £29,339 (0.8FTE - 30 hours per week, equivalent to £36,674 FTE) plus benefits.

The role

As Risk Manager, you will support our Head of Risk & Assurance in managing risk and compliance across our global network. You will help ensure key organisational risks are proactively identified, managed, and reported to safeguard our vision, mission, and strategic aims.

You will work closely with stakeholders across various geographies and cultures, helping employees understand and consider the implications of organisational risks through engagement, oversight of risk registers, and targeted reporting and analysis.

With support from external brokers, you will also manage our MMI insurance programme and provide oversight and guidance to the wider network.

Key duties

• Support the evolution of our risk management framework in line with organisational culture and network growth.
• Provide guidance to global teams on managing organisational risks.
• Plan and facilitate risk assessment sessions to evaluate operational, financial, reputational, and security risks related to MMI functions, projects, programmes, and fundraising.
• Analyze risk information to produce meaningful reports tailored to the audience.
• Facilitate reporting and escalation of emerging risks.
• Review insurance coverage and brokerage periodically to ensure adequacy.
• Document risks or gaps in insurance coverage and work with the Head of Risk & Assurance to address them.
• Manage annual renewal processes for relevant policies and coordinate insurance-related changes.
• Guide Programme Affiliate insurance programmes, including policy coverage and claims support.

About you

You should have proven experience in risk management, developing risk processes, and overseeing risk registers. Strong relationship-building, analytical skills, and confidence in data analysis are essential. Excellent communication skills, integrity, and attention to detail when handling sensitive information are also required.
