Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a QRA capable Risk Manager to join our London based rail team, working on high profile projects across London and the south east. You will identify, quantify and manage threats and opportunities, producing timely risk reports for stakeholders.

You should have experience with PRA/@risk and P6, and be comfortable with ARM, Predict and Tableau. APM/IRM risk certification is preferred, with a construction-related degree.

Qualifications

• Qualitative and quantitative assessment of risk within a large programme.
• Working understanding of integrated risk management (risk, cost, schedule).
• Experience facilitating risk workshops and threat mitigation.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We have exciting opportunity for a QRA capable Risk Manager to join our busy and expanding, London based rail team, who are undertaking duties on a range of high profile rail projects across London and the south east of England.

Main Purpose of Role

• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues within the sub‑programme.
• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget or retirement of threat/opportunity.
• Use risk data to inform investment planning.
• Assist with the identification and recording of appropriate management responses which are measurable and specific, along with assessing the post mitigated positions.
• Monitor overall risk exposure and assess against the remaining Risk budget.
• Proactively manage the completion of management responses to help deliver target positions.
• Work with contractors to assess contractor held risks and their views on client held risks that impact upon them.
• Produce risk reports as required, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency levels.
• Candidates will be expected to demonstrate experienced levels of competence with tools such as PRA, @risk, Safran or similar.
• Familiarity with web‑based database tools – ARM, Predict, Tableau

Qualifications

In order to be able to carry out the duties of the role as required, candidates will be expected to demonstrate the following capabilities: Qualitative and quantitative assessment of risk, a working understanding of an integrated risk management process (risk, cost and schedule) on a large programme, risk workshop facilitation, threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation, probabilistic modelling (@risk, PRA and P6 proficiency – or equivalent). We are looking for candidates with proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects/programmes. APM/IRM risk certified candidates preferred.

Candidates will ideally be degree qualified in a construction related subject.
