Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Risk Manager to join the Project Controls Team in the Yorkshire/Northeast region. You will identify threats and opportunities across energy, renewables, defence, rail and utilities, and manage risk cost profiles and budget considerations.

The role requires strong communication skills and experience on major projects, with exposure to quantitative and qualitative risk methods. IRM/APM certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• A working understanding of integrated risk management across portfolios, programmes and projects.
• Risk and scenario analysis workshop facilitation.
• Development of proactive threat mitigation and opportunity exploitation.
• Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment including probabilistic modelling.
• Broad understanding of Project Controls methodology and risk management interactions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities, and issues
• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling
• Assist with development of management responses with measurable outcomes
• Monitor overall risk exposure against remaining budget and timeline
• Produce risk reports to support senior management actions
• Understand quantitative risk assessment to inform contingency and time risk allowances
• Familiarity with web-based tools for risk reporting (ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI)
