Job summary

Vulcain Engineering in London is seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our Project Controls team and drive proactive risk management across infrastructure and energy initiatives.

You will establish risk registers, analyze risks with quantitative methods such as Monte-Carlo, lead workshops, and advise Programme Directors on mitigations to ensure project objectives are met.

• Experience as a Risk Manager on large-scale infrastructure/energy projects.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Risk Manager will include:

• Establish and maintain comprehensive risk registers for the programme.


• Ensure all potential risks are identified, documented, and monitored throughout the project lifecycle.


• Identify, develop, and implement risk mitigation and action plans.


• Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective execution of mitigation strategies.


• Contribute to the development and maintenance of the overall Risk Management Strategy and Plan.


• Ensure alignment with project objectives and industry best practices.


• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis on the Integrated Works Schedule.


• Advise Programme Directors on key risk areas to enable proactive mitigative actions.


• Lead workshops with large groups of Project Managers to capture and assess risks comprehensively.


• Foster a collaborative environment to ensure thorough risk identification.


• Work closely with other Risk Managers across different programmes to avoid risk duplication.


• Ensure a cohesive approach to risk management across all project areas.
