Job summary

Simmons & Hanbury in London is seeking a Market Risk Analyst focused on Emerging Markets for a hedge fund. The role sits alongside Portfolio Managers and trading desks to monitor risk, analyze exposures, and enhance risk tooling with Python/SQL.

The candidate should have strong knowledge of fixed income products and robust Python/SQL skills, with the credibility to engage senior investment professionals. Note: visa sponsorship is not available.

Risk Role - Hedge Fund - Emerging Markets Focus

I’m working exclusively on a Risk Analyst opportunity with a leading investment firm in London.

I’m keen to speak with Market Risk Analysts with Emerging Markets experience, ideally with a strong understanding of Fixed Income products.

The role sits closely with Portfolio Managers and trading desks, covering:

• Monitoring and assessing portfolio risk and exposures
• Analysing risk and P&L drivers across trading strategies
• Providing independent risk assessments to PMs and senior management
• Developing and enhancing risk tools using Python / SQL
• Working with PMs, Trading, Tech and Quant teams to improve risk analysis and infrastructure

You’ll need strong market/product knowledge, solid technical skills and the ability to build credibility with senior investment professionals.
