Job Description

The Risk Manager will support the on-going development and management of an Enterprise Risk Management framework across Westfield Specialty International. They will support the Head of Risk and other resources within the risk team on all relevant risk management related activities.

Responsibilities

Risk and Control Assessments (core risks and key controls)

• Schedule a clear annual timetable of risk assessments - spread throughout a quarterly cycle taking account of key deliverables
• Delegate the completion of some low rated risk assessments to other team members as required
• Summary of assessments shared regularly with Head of Risk with key risks and actions highlighted
• In-depth, risk-based control reviews with control owners

Annual ORSA (including Stress &Scenario Testing

• Create ORSA timetable outlining key information and deadlines
• Proactively engage with first line to ensure data is obtained in a timely manner
• Draft report for Head of Risk Review

Risk Reporting

• Produce initial drafts of Risk and Capital Committee MI
• Produce initial drafts of other WSMA governance forums' risk MI
• Lead the process for monitoring risk incidents and root cause analysis for any control failures/ control weaknesses
• Assist with annual Risk Culture evaluation process

Stakeholder Engagement Plan (including team training)

• Coordinate the creation and maintenance of risk management training and materials
• Lead risk training to other teams and key stakeholders

Regulatory

• Horizon scanning for regulatory developments
• Knowledge of Operational Resilience and DORA requirements (desirable)

Emerging Risks

• Leads and owns the Emerging Risks Framework
• Coordinates materials for emerging risks meetings with key stakeholders (including Underwriters)
• Researches emerging risks and attends relevant forums
• Produces draft emerging risk reports for the Risk and Capital Committee

Qualifications
