Job summary

Apollo, a Skyward Group company, is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join the Enterprise Risk Management team in London. You will lead the development and embedding of the ERM framework, partner with senior stakeholders, and provide oversight across managed syndicates to strengthen risk practices.

You will also drive ORSA, stress testing and business planning activities, translate risk insights into decision-ready reporting, and contribute to governance through committee materials and risk

Qualifications

• Experience operating within an Enterprise Risk Management environment in the insurance or regulated financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks, risk appetite, risk assessment and risk reporting.
• Knowledge of Solvency UK requirements and regulatory expectations in financial services.
• Experience contributing to ORSA, stress testing, scenario analysis or business planning.
• Ability to influence, challenge and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong communication skills, with experience presenting risk insights to senior audiences.
• Analytical thinking with pragmatic problem-solving and decision-making.
• Experience leading projects, initiatives or teams and delivering outcomes through collaboration.
• Interest in emerging risks and a forward-looking view of the risk environment.

Responsibilities

Your Role

At Apollo, risk management is central to how we make decisions, support sustainable growth and deliver strong outcomes for our stakeholders. We’re looking for a Risk Manager to join our Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team and play a key role in evolving and embedding our risk framework across Apollo and our managed syndicates.

This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of strategic, operational and regulatory topics, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide insight, challenge and oversight. You’ll help shape how risk is managed across the business while supporting new initiatives, syndicate growth and regulatory expectations.

What you’ll do

• Provide risk oversight for Platform Partner Syndicates, supporting the evaluation of new opportunities, onboarding activities and ongoing governance to ensure alignment with Apollo's risk framework and wider business objectives.
• Play a leading role in ORSA, stress testing and business planning activities, helping translate risk insights into informed decision-making and strategic outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality risk reporting, committee papers, training and risk reviews that promote a strong risk culture and support effective governance across the organisation.

What we are looking for
