We are seeking a Ceded Reinsurance Oversight Manager to lead oversight across our Platform Partner Syndicates, ensuring alignment with Apollo processes, Lloyd’s Principles and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a London Market ceded or outward reinsurance function.
• Knowledge of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance contracts including premium processing and claims administration.
• Experience using ceded reinsurance and Lloyd’s market systems (LORS) and supporting reporting/regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ceded reinsurance activity across Platform Partner Syndicates and ensure compliance with Apollo processes and Lloyd’s principles.
• Support placement, administration and management of reinsurance arrangements including contract processing and settlements through LORS.
• Manage outsourced reinsurance support, verify outputs and monitor credit and premium/claims calculations.
• Prepare management information for syndicate governance meetings and regulatory submissions.

Your Role

We are looking for a Ceded Reinsurance Oversight Manager to join Apollo’s Ceded Reinsurance Team, with responsibility for overseeing ceded reinsurance activity across our managed Platform Partner Syndicates (PPS).

You will help ensure each syndicate operates in line with Apollo’s processes, Lloyd’s Principles and wider regulatory requirements. Supporting the full lifecycle of ceded reinsurance activity, you will provide oversight and hands‑on operational support across contract administration, reporting, settlements and the ongoing management of reinsurance arrangements.

Working across a diverse and growing portfolio, you will collaborate closely with Platform Partner Syndicates, Underwriting, Finance and Claims teams, brokers, external counterparties and outsourced service providers.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where you will support multiple syndicates and partner businesses while helping Apollo maintain effective operational controls across an increasingly complex reinsurance landscape.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee ceded reinsurance activity across the Platform Partner Syndicates, helping to ensure compliance with Apollo processes, Lloyd’s Principles and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support the placement, administration and ongoing management of proportional and non‑proportional reinsurance arrangements, including contract processing, premium and claims settlements through LORS.
• Manage and oversee outsourced reinsurance support where used, validating outputs, monitoring credit control and checking premium and claims calculations.
• Prepare clear management information for syndicate governance meetings, alongside Lloyd’s Outwards Reinsurance reporting and regulatory submissions.
• Maintain accurate contract and reinsurance data, working with internal teams, brokers and external counterparties to resolve queries and support accurate execution.
• Support the onboarding of additional Platform Partner Syndicates and contribute to improvements in processes, controls, service delivery and data quality.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience working within a London Market ceded or outward reinsurance function, with a strong understanding of reinsurance operations and administration.
• Knowledge of proportional and non‑proportional reinsurance contracts, including premium processing, accounting and claims administration.
• Experience using ceded reinsurance and Lloyd’s market systems, including LORS, and supporting Lloyd’s Outwards Reinsurance reporting or regulatory submissions.
• The ability to interpret and manage detailed reinsurance information accurately while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience preparing meaningful ceded reinsurance management information and maintaining strong operational controls.
• A collaborative and practical approach, with the confidence to build effective relationships across Underwriting, Finance, Claims and external market partners.
