Hybrid working with occasional days in Bath

We are partnering with a prestigious, multi-award-winning wealth management organization to recruit a skilled Risk Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the enterprise risk management framework for the Group and executing a robust second-line assurance program.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the Enterprise Risk Management Framework operates effectively across the organization.
2. Identify, describe, and assess risks impacting the business proactively.
3. Oversee incident recording, reporting, manage closure approvals, and conduct trend analysis.
4. Utilize regulatory and technical expertise to assess risks and develop risk-based solutions for complex challenges.
5. Drive the Control Assessment plan and deliver second-line assurance.
6. Apply the Group's risk appetite in all risk assessments and evaluations.
7. Contribute to determining the company's regulatory risk capital requirements.
8. Foster a strong risk culture within the organization.
9. Support teams in implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework effectively.
10. Identify and escalate key and emerging risks from various business units.
11. Report to the Executive Committee, Risk Committee, Board, and Audit and Risk Committee in partnership with leadership.
12. Collaborate with Compliance and Internal Audit teams to mitigate regulatory and business risks.
13. Demonstrate proven technical expertise in risk management, especially operational risk in financial services.
14. Experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
15. Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills.
16. Ability to compile and communicate comprehensive Risk Management Information (MI) and reports.
17. Experience designing and developing Risk Frameworks and Policies.
18. Understanding of Risk Appetite Frameworks and practices.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Diploma in Risk Management from IRM or equivalent.
• IAQ qualification or similar.
• Knowledge of SIPP, ISA, GIA, and Bond Products.
• Experience with outsourcing and managing critical suppliers.
• Background in Platform or Discretionary Fund Management.
